Welcome to Beverly Hills

The motion picture and entertainment industries have maintained a close relationship with the city of Beverly Hills since Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford became residents in 1921. Among those who have contributed to the folklore of Beverly Hills have been Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, John F. Kennedy, Joseph P. Kennedy, Gloria Swanson, Lana Turner, Frank Sinatra, Bugsy Siegel, E.L. Doheny Jr., and Howard Hughes. Thanks to its founders Burton Green, Max Whittier and Charles Canfield who decided to turn their acreage into a town after they found water instead of oil, beautification of this affluent community has been ongoing ever since.

Collectively, from past to present, the city perpetuates design elements from Tyrolean, Provençal, Hollywood Regency, Modern and Mediterranean to today’s Contemporary architecture. Homes in Beverly Hills are substantial in size. Sales are rare and garner top dollar; the median home value in Beverly Hills is three and a half million dollars. Newer structures present fluid spaces on open floor plans with the finest materials in which hierarchies are diluted.

The city’s celebrity and rich history take center stage on a global level maintaining its original reputation as the “show window of the world”. Tour Rodeo Drive’s “Walk of Style” with couture designer hubs all located on one drive. The area’s “Platinum Triangle” is formed by the city of Beverly Hills and the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Bel Air and Holmby Hills.
